Who are we?

The Story:

In 2024, we noticed something frustrating: every major company in Miami, Trinidad, and Jamaica was using AI and data intelligence to dominate their markets. Meanwhile, businesses in Suriname and much of the Caribbean were still making decisions based on gut feel and outdated quarterly reports.

The gap wasn't a lack of ambition, it was a lack of access.

Caribbean companies couldn't afford $100K/year data scientists. They couldn't justify enterprise software licenses for markets of 500,000 people. And they definitely couldn't compete with the speed and scale of AI-powered competitors in larger markets.

So we built NoGi to level the playing field.

Our Mission: Make world-class business intelligence and AI operational capacity accessible to every Caribbean business, regardless of size or budget.

The NoGi Culture

  • 1. Caribbean-First We're not a global consultancy with a "Caribbean practice." We live here. We understand the languages, culture, market dynamics, and unique challenges of operating in the region.

    2. Results, Not Reports We don't do studies. We don't make recommendations. We deliver operational capacity and actionable intelligence that drives revenue today.

    3. Risk-Free Guarantees We put our money where our mouth is with performance guarantees that ensure you only pay for results.

    4. Technical Excellence Without Technical Burden You get world-class AI capability without hiring data scientists, buying infrastructure, or learning machine learning.

  • Radical Transparency No black boxes. We show you exactly how we collect data, train models, and arrive at recommendations.

Execution Over Theory We care about what works, not what sounds impressive. Every service is designed for immediate business impact.

Caribbean Pride We believe this region can compete with anyone when armed with the right tools. We're building those tools.

Relentless Improvement Our AI gets smarter every day. So does our understanding of your business. We never stop optimizing.

  • We're not trying to be the biggest AI company in the Caribbean.

We're trying to be the best.

    That means:

    • Limited client capacity to ensure quality

    • Saying no to clients who aren't the right fit

    • Investing in R&D even when it doesn't immediately drive revenue

    • Building long-term partnerships, not extracting maximum short-term fees

  • Xavio Merhai

    Founder & CEO

    The $200K Epiphany

In 2021, while consulting for a major Caribbean telecom, Xavio watched a marketing director spend 40 hours manually compiling a competitor analysis that AI could have done in 4 minutes.

The next week, he saw an insurance company lose $500K to a social media crisis they could have prevented with basic sentiment monitoring.

Then he realized: every major company in Miami, Trinidad, and Jamaica was already using these tools. But Caribbean businesses? Zero adoption. Not because they didn't want it—because nobody was making it accessible.

Four years of machine learning engineering and corporate innovation work had shown him something critical: The Caribbean doesn't have an ideas problem. It has an execution problem.

So he built NoGi to solve it.

  • Alwin Ten Jet Foei

    Co-Founder & CFO

Where Xavio Sees Opportunity, Alwin Sees the Numbers

While working in financial institutions and real estate, Alwin watched a single budget oversight destroy six months of profit. He saw legal filing delays cost $200K in penalties. He witnessed manual processes create million-dollar exposure gaps.

The pattern was clear: Caribbean businesses weren't failing from bad strategy. They were bleeding from bad execution.

After founding and scaling his own marketing company—where every dollar mattered and every process needed optimization—Alwin learned the hard truth: growth without operational discipline is just expensive chaos.

When Xavio came to him with NoGi's vision, Alwin saw the other side of the problem. Xavio was building AI that could transform operations. Alwin would ensure it transformed profitably.

His Role at NoGi: While Xavio builds the AI that processes 3 million data points monthly, Alwin ensures every dollar invested returns three. He architects the financial models, operational frameworks, and risk management systems that let clients scale without breaking.

The Result: NoGi clients don't just get smart technology—they get profitable, compliant, scalable operations.

Philosophy: Innovation means nothing without profitability. Technology means nothing without execution.
